Haslam Leadership Scholars Study Abroad in Rwanda and Kenya(May 2024)

In May of 2024, I traveled to Rwanda and Kenya through the Haslam Leadership Scholars program. This program centered on leadership development and conflict resolution. Specifically, we spent time interacting with local government officials, business owners, and non-profit leaders to learn about how they’ve promoted unity after an event like the 1994 genocide. In addition to these meetings, we had the opportunity to trek with gorillas, spot animals on a safari, and drink lots of good coffee.
